The Beginnning: Allegany County Teachers' Federal Credit Union was formed in 1950 by pooling funds from several teachers in the Allegany County School  System.  Today, the credit union membership is open to employees of the Allegany County Board of Education, employees of Allegany College of Maryland, Contractual Employees, School Nurses, Volunteers for the Allegany County School System, Students enrolled in the Allegany County School System, among many others.

  

Our Mission: Allegany County Teachers' Federal Credit Union is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of our member-owners by providing programs and services for individuals of all ages.

The Present: Allegany County Teachers' Federal Credit Union  has over 8,500 members, 23 full-time employees, and over $83 million in assets.
